‘I'm sleeping rough so children don’t have to!’
The BIG Sleepout in Rotherham Friday 19th October 2012.
We know 100,000 children under 16 years old run away each year in this country for a variety of reasons including being thrown out or having to flee violence and abuse from the place they call home.
We know that children, some younger than 11 years old, are in danger – without money, food
or a warm, safe place to shelter. For some young people, running away seems to be the best choice within a much too limited set of options.
Every penny you raise will make a real difference to childrens lives and will help SAFE@LAST keep children at risk through running away safe.
I'm sleeping rough for the night in order raise money for this charity which is very close to my heart.
If you could spare any cash in order to support me on this that would be great even if it's just 50p to buy a warm drink for a child.
